My goal is simple: to give you clarity and reassurance at a time when you need it most. To summarise:
- 30+ years in construction and residential surveying
- Deep experience in building pathology and defect diagnosis
- Investigations across modern, traditional and complex structures
- A genuine passion for buildings and helping clients feel confident with the most largest financial purchase they are likely to make

As well as undertaking over a 1,000 surveys, I’ve completed numerous pathology investigations, heritage works and supported planning and building regulation submissions, experience that adds real depth to every Level 2 and Level 3 survey. Local Knowledge and a Truly Personal Service
As a local surveyor covering Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, I understand the construction styles, common defects and typical risks found in the area. Unlike larger firms, I personally carry out every single survey ensuring consistency, accuracy and a genuine understanding of your concerns, providing a one stop shop. You’ll always speak directly with me before and after the inspection, so you get clear, honest guidance from the person who actually inspected the property. To summarise:
- I complete every survey myself, no subcontractors or rotating staff
- Pre‑inspection and post‑inspection calls are always with me directly
- Local knowledge of property types and regional construction issues
- Consistent, accurate and personal service from start to finish
Independent, Cost‑Effective and Built on Personal Reputation
Because I operate independently, my overheads are lower, meaning you receive a high‑quality, RICS‑regulated service at a competitive price. More importantly, my reputation is built on every survey I deliver. I don’t hide behind a large company name; the quality of my work is personal, and that motivates me to provide the highest standard of service every time. To summarise:
- Lower overheads = better value for clients
- My personal reputation depends on every report I produce
- Clear, detailed, jargon‑free reports with extensive photographic evidence
- A service built on integrity, transparency and genuine client care
Time Invested in Every Survey
A high‑quality survey takes time, and I never rush the process. A typical Level 2 survey takes around 3–5 hours on site, while a Level 3 survey can take 4–8 hours or longer depending on the size and complexity of the property. To maintain the standard of detail and care my clients expect, I limit myself to no more than four surveys per week. This allows me to give each inspection the attention it deserves, review my findings thoroughly, prepare a clear and detailed report, and speak with you before and after the inspection without ever feeling pressured by volume. My focus is always on quality over quantity because your survey should be accurate, reliable and genuinely reassuring. To summarise:
- Level 2 surveys: typically 3–5 hours on site
- Level 3 surveys: typically 4–8 hours or more
- Maximum of four surveys per week to maintain quality
- Time protected for detailed reporting and personal client support
